Who are we?
Caroline Clarke

I am British. I am originally from London, where I was a Metropolitan Police Officer for over 12 years. I am married and we have two children, who attend the local school. We have lived in Tuggen since late 2010. As a family we love our life in Switzerland and spend our free time geocaching, cycling, playing and sometimes skiing. My children are bilingual and, as parents, we are constantly trying to be.
As Albert Einstein said, " A person who never made a mistake, never tried anything new."
I understand how difficult it can be to learn a new language as an adult, and how practice in a safe and non-judgemental environment is key to making advances. My hope is to share my love for my mother tongue and help you develop your communication skills.
I completed a TEFL course with International TEFL and TESOL Training and also hold a CELTA certificate (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults issued by the University of Cambridge ) and SVEB 1 (Swiss certified qualification in adult teaching).
Claudia Collet Rothlin

I grew up in Lachen (SZ). After finishing school, I spent a year in Lausanne to learn French. Afterwards, I completed an apprenticeship in nursing, for toddlers and postnatal care. I used these skills working as a medical assistant in a pediatrician’s practice for 4 1 /2 years.
I then changed direction and spent the next 7 years working as a flight attendant for Swissair. The next adventure saw us move, as a family, to the US, where we lived for a little over 3 years.
On returning I studied and passed the CAE (Cambridge Advanced English) and the CPE (Cambridge Proficiency English) exams. After the CAE I started teaching English privately. This helped me share my knowledge of English and prompted me to formalise my teaching skills.
In 2013 I finished the CELTA course, followed by the SVEB 1 (Swiss certified qualification in adult teaching).
